AstilleroVerde Hosts Forestry Event

On the 15th of February, we had the honor of hosting a momentous event with more than 50 guests at our regenerative shipyard. We were joined by prominent government officials, including the Deputy Minister for Strategic Management of the Ministry of Environment and Energy, leaders of international financial institutions, and companies innovating in the use of wood. In collaboration with the National Forestry Office, the goal was to revitalize the sector in Costa Rica and explore new business opportunities.

The event featured the launch of the CINF platform,  a digital platform of the ONF which aims to attract national and international buyers for wood products from small and medium producers and combat forest business informality and illegality in Costa Rica. Additionally, progress on the construction of Ceiba was presented, highlighting our sustainable building methods and zero-emission solution. The event concluded with project and business opportunity presentations to promote forestry activity, followed by a tour of our regenerative shipyar, a source of pride for the national forestry sector.

We are deeply proud and honored to have welcomed such influential individuals to our shipyard. While Sailcargo has been driven by private funding, we recognize the importance of public-private partnerships to achieve sustainable growth. We are excited for what the future holds!
